Rusty Wallace Design

In 2004, Rusty Wallace became the first stock car driver in recent history to design a professional racing circuit, when he inked the plans for the 7/8-mile Iowa Speedway, located near Des Moines. Soon after, in late 2006, the speedway opened to rave reviews from fans, media and competitors alike.

The facility currently hosts rounds of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Truck Series, the IndyCar Series and a bevy of other professional racing sanctions.
